A Month of Gratitude

I left off last week’s submission talking about the gratitude I have for the advances in medicine the physicians and nurses of America have provided us in times of the stress of combat. That got me thinking this week…

I remember enjoying the company of people that choose to celebrate the concept of gratitude by thinking of something they’re thankful for each day throughout the month of November. Our hats go off to the veterans in the second week of the month, and on the fourth Thursday we celebrate gratitude while feasting on roasted bird and all the trimmings.

That is a really nice memory. It happened in a group setting with a goal of empowering the members with ways to live a more fulfilling and balanced life.

I picked up the idea, I think in 2019 for the first time, and did a post a day on gratitude on Facebook. It was a lot of fun, and a lot easier than you’d think.

It is a proven concept and a known law of the universe that those who wake up grateful in the morning have more to be grateful for.

That’s kind of like the way giving somebody a hug benefits you as well. Right?

Stop right now, and either take out a pen or a piece of scratch paper, and quickly with free association write down 10 things you’re grateful for.

I’ll wait.

Here are mine:

  1. I live in America, with all of its rich diversity of both people and scenery.
  2. I live in Colorado. Mountains, running and biking trails. Low humidity, and spectacular views.
  3. I’m married to my very best friend.
  4. Bonus: she’s easy to look at, too.
  5. I’m blessed to live in a comfortable home that we own.
  6. I have a dependable car that has been paid for quite a while now.
  7. It is fairly normal for people my age to keep playing in rock bands, and I do.
  8. That wife I mentioned earlier is a master gardener, and my backyard is a paradise.
  9. I have an amazing granddaughter that fills me with pride and astonishing happiness.
  10. I am able to help physicians make and keep thousands of additional dollars of their own money without even having to commute in the morning!

As a business fiscal advisor specializing in cash flow management and the future growth of medical professional practices, I feel like I have a number of good reasons to be grateful for the opportunity to serve.

10 More Reasons I am Grateful

In my supportive role assisting medical practices, I’m indirectly contributing to the healthcare system’s efficiency and effectiveness. My work ensures these practices are financially healthy, which in turn can improve the quality of patient care.

Working with physicians who are deeply committed to their practice and patient care is professionally fulfilling for me. I’m part of a team that makes a meaningful difference in people’s lives.

The medical industry is constantly evolving with new technologies and regulations, providing me with a rich learning experience, and keeping my work dynamic and engaging.

I have the opportunity to build long-term, trust-based relationships with my clients. These relationships are deeply rewarding on both a professional and personal level.

Many doctors excel in their field of practice but may need guidance in fiscal management. My expertise helps these entrepreneurs succeed, which is incredibly satisfying.

By supporting the financial health of medical practices, I contribute to the broader economy. Healthy medical practices can create jobs, stimulate local economies, and contribute to overall economic well-being.

My field offers complex financial as well as shifting tax compliance challenges that require innovative solutions. This aspect is intellectually stimulating and offers a sense of accomplishment when problems are successfully navigated.

Working with various medical practices exposes me to a range of business models, challenges, and personalities, enriching my professional experience.

Being recognized as a trusted advisor in a critical sector like healthcare is a prestigious and honorable position for me.

The challenges and experiences in this role contribute to my personal and professional growth, enhancing my skills as an advisor and a leader.

Each of these 10 reasons contributes to a sense of gratitude and fulfillment in my role as a business fiscal advisor who specializes in physician entrepreneurs.

I feel like my work not only supports the financial stability of medical practices but also indirectly contributes to the health and well-being of the community.

My cup of gratitude runneth over. I feel so very lucky and blessed.

We are still accepting one new client in the days remaining in the month of November. I know I speak for my entire staff when I propose that we would be very grateful to have a conversation with you, assuming this level of service sounds right for you.
